First Debate: Obama Didn’t Show Up

First I must admit that I didn’t watch the complete debate.  I did watch most of it and I was stunned.  Where was President Obama.  I saw someone who looked like him staring down, shaking his head and smiling, but the man was not there.  Romney on the other had, was assertive and kept looking Obama in the eye.  Even when he lied about Social Security and Medicare.  That is when I knew Obama wasn’t there.  When The Stench lied, President Obama should have said so, and gone on the attack of Romney’s record.  Obama has said many times that he fighting for the middle-class, for me and for you, and stands silent.  No mention of Bain, the 47%, healthcare and taxes.  It was past comprehension.

I have no idea what Obama team was not thinking.  Obama had control tonight and he let Romney back in the game.  Tonight Romney looked determined and Obama acted as if he didn’t care.  Obama appeared to lack confidence.  Romney used Obama’s act and personalized the debate.  He talked about people he met and how he would help.  But most importantly, Obama did not go after Romney.  Romney said tonight that he would move to the center and disavow the Right, and Obama didn’t jump on it.  Romney said he would take his healthcare plan he put in place in Massachusetts and make it national.  Well, isn’t that Obamacare.  Hello?!!  Obama stood there as if didn’t know what to say.  Romney sounded specific about his plan.  And Jim Lehrer.  He should have been in charge and not let Romney control.  Mostly though, Obama was invisible.

I am just so angry. I have to stop.

And so it goes!!!!!!

“Truth is Treason”

In a free society we’re supposed to know the truth,” Paul said. “In a society where truth becomes treason, then we’re in big trouble. And now, people who are revealing the truth are getting into trouble for it.”

Now I know this quote is a couple of years old, and about Wiki leaks, but somehow it applies here as it concerns The Rat and The Roach[okay,[Romney and Ryan].  They have sent the Stooge out again.  Just look at what they have her saying now after VP Joe Biden’s truthful comments.  You could say they were a little strong, but they were the truth.  There is just no use kidding ourselves what Rat/Roach really wants for America.  When he stands and looks out at his supporters and the real American public he sees not working America, he sees criminals that need to be punished with more taxes and poverty.  He sees dangerous parasites and leeches preparing to strike at the heart and soul of the Great American System that put them where they are now.   More about this later, now back to the Stooge, aka Andrea “Stooge”Saul.
What was so terrible about what Vice President Biden said:
They’ve said it.  Every Republican’s voted for it.  Look at what they they value and look at their budget and what they’re proposing.  Romney wants to let the — he said in the first 100 days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules — unchain Wall Street,” Biden said.  “They’re going to put y’all back in chains. He’s said he going to do nothing about stopping the practice of outsourcing.”
Republicans have spoken for these 2 years and more to the need to “unshackle” the private sector from regulations.  Mind you the private sector, meaning the citizens, working class families, women, blacks, illegal immigrants, immigrants, and poor people remain shackled to high taxes, joblessness, and poverty.
Their record speaks for itself:  the war on women, voter suppression, personhood bills, heartbeat bills and you see the compulsion to return women, blacks and immigrants to lives of slavery, chained and shackled to the whims of white rich men.
And the Stooge response:
After weeks of slanderous and baseless accusations leveled against Gov. Romney, the Obama campaign has reached a new low, the Stooge said. The commends made by the vice president of the United States are not acceptable in our political discourse and demonstrate yet again that the Obama campaign will say and do anything to win this election.
When Obama backed Biden the Stooge said:
In case anyone was wondering just how low President Obama could go in his campaign for reelection, we now know he’s willing to say that Governor wants to put people back in chains, Whether it’s accusing Mitt Romney of being a felon, having been responsible for a woman’s tragic death or now wanting to put people in chains, there’s no question that because of the president’s failed record he’s been reduced to a desperate campaign based on division and demonization.
Felon?  The Rat did that to himself.  Won’t release tax returns, so he must be hiding something he doesn’t want anyone to know.  Responsible for a woman’s tragic death?  I didn’t hear that.  It said no health insurance to help his wife during this illness.  He lost his job thanks to the Rat.  She, herself said:
“If people had been in Massachusetts, under Governor Romney’s health care plan, they would have had health care,” said Saul
All the Rat/Roach campaign can do is lie.  If they were even remotely to consider telling the truth it would be treason.  Truth is something that the Republican party has no interest in. They are incapable of doing so.    Hubris.  Narcissism.
I for one am so tired of their self-serving, self-indulgent, selfish and self-righteous outrage and lies.  They have no comprehension of what the truth is.  The Rat just lies.  It is what the Rat does every day of his life, on purpose, as a matter of policy, and a perfect expression of everything he stands for.

God Save Us From the Good Christians or How I Would Rather Be In Hell If They Are Going To Heaven

I had hoped that this Christianity crap would not go this far, but now these men of “God” have made me mad.  Most of these people  Slicktorum, Newt, Mittens and now Franklin Graham have all been found out for what they are………racists, bigots, sexists and absolutely not christian.

First, I don’t think this bunch of old white, white-haired men [bishops] knew what they were doing when they screamed against contraception.  I don’t think they realized that this went beyond contraception, and played right into the hands of those God-fearing pretenders, and began in earnest the repeal of “Obamacare.”  The bishops didn’t understand then, but they do  now.

But what has made me mad is Slicktorum saying that Freedom of Religion has become Freedom to Worship and they are not the same thing.  Is he really that stupid.  It is a rhetorical question don’t answer.  Did he not know to google religion and discover the definition?  Or simply look the word up in the dictionary.  Religion:  service and worship of God or a divine being.  Slicktorum has it all wrong.  His definition of religious freedom means Catholicism.  Follow the dictates of the church.  As we have seen his church is lacking.  I guess now that includes Protestantism too.  I don’t usually watch “morning joe”, but I did this morning and I was dumbfounded.  This pretender to the throne of a really good man, in one brief interview offended every real christian in the world.  Maybe it was too early for him or what he drank, smoked and a new fangled drug the night before which led him to some drug induced glass eyed definition of a christian.  The man has lost his mind like all good christian republicans.  But I have gone off point and I am on a deadline to get this post done sometime tonight.  Maybe I need a new drug as the old song says.

Now back to what I was going to say before my 65-year-old brain had a momentary lapse…….Slicktorum is telling me/us that his religion or no religion. He is telling us to ignore God, the God we know, and accept his “religion”.  Not God mind you, his “religion.”  Now don’t get me wrong he has every right to belong to his “religion”, but so do I.  But it is God I/you account to, not the religion.  I may belong to the Greek Orthodox Church, but I pray and answer to God.  God is God.

How dare Slicktorum or Graham or Gingrich or Robertson, or Paul or any of them tell me that the God I worship is wrong.  How dare he or them tell me that I am not a good christian.  How dare they tell me that my “religion” is wrong.  How dare they tell me that my worship of God is not freedom of “religion”.  His God isn’t better than my God.  Christianity isn’t bad but there just are some bad people.  Islam isn’t bad, there just are some bad people, and it goes on and on.  It is not freedom of religion, it is freedom from religion.  They have no right to tell me./us theirs is better.

To hear Slicktorum, Graham or the rest of talk, you can just go out and buy your faith right off the shelf.  Not happy with it move on to the next aisle or another department. No special discounts for God.    A special on “religion” today. Can’t you just see it now, God’s Grocery Store. Bag it yourself and take home.    My momma told me about people like this a long time ago.  She told to beware of the “good christian.” They talk a good game, go to church each and every Sunday and pronounce out loud “I am a good christian”, but when they time comes for them to be what they say they are invisible.  Missing.  I just can’t sell my soul to be a “company christian”.  I will not sell my soul.

These religions, be it Catholicism or Protestantism or whatever they call it is a means for them to justify their bigotry, racism, and sexism.  Maybe the Catholic church is against contraception not because it is immoral, but because it means loss of income for the church.  More parishioners, more money.  It can’t be because they care about the health of the woman or her family.   These good Christians seem to forget that God and Jesus were not racist, bigots, sexists. That Jesus loved all mankind without exception.

They don’t seem to know much about that.  So I can do without the holy water induced rhetoric, the holier than I comedy routine.  I will be pleased to be in hell.  I’ll have good company and my dog.  I don’t want to be a good christian.  If they are examples of good Christians than damn I am happy to be bad.

Jesus loves me, yes I know.

How The Bible Was Instrumental in Catholic Bishops Jumping Off Cliff or We Are A Supreme Being Political Action Committee

Well I just can’t resist this.  The Catholic Bishops have truly gone off the deep end or just simply thrown themselves off the cliff.  They are not lemmings, but true leaders following the word of God.  That is what they say.  Trouble with that argument:  nowhere in the Bible is there anything about contraception.  Oh they will quote you Genesis 38:8-10; And Judah said unto Onan , go in unto they brother’s wife and marry her, and raise up see to they brother.  And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.  This is what they use to justify the ban on contraception.  The death of the poor man.

The truth is, is that there is no passage in the Bible that supports a ban on contraception.  It doesn’t exists.  It is not a proclamation come from God to anyone that calls themselves Christian.  Not even Catholics.  It is a law laid out by the pope, a man who pretends to be God and speaks as one.  He is not God.  All this talk about the sanctity of life, but an ignoring of the living.  It is a church doctrine created by man and not by God.  The pope speaks and all are to follow.  Contraception is immoral so what are they saying?  All Catholics are immoral.  How dare they tell me that I am immoral?  Wait a minute, I am not Catholic, thank God. Shame on Catholics.  The Bishops have taken a position that the only way to save their flock is to deny healthcare to Catholic women and by extension to all women.  They are telling us that women prefer immorality and good healthcare to so-called damnation.  We are evil.

The Bishops have joined that Republican party.  They now work for them.  They read letters against contraception from the pulpit.  That is political speech, partisan political speech.  They have tax-exempt status.  How now can they claim to continue to want no tax.  They should register an extreme Republican political action committee rather than remain a tax exempt religious institution outside the bounds of politics.  They are working for the Republican party.  Part of that dreaded 1% and they love it.

This is a fight for authority over U.S. flock.  Catholics here are supposed to follow their moral authority.  They want to speak for the Church once again.  They have no authority and have lost their clout and standing.  They have no real authority over “Catholic” colleges or university or hospitals.  They are independently owned.  They can have the word “Catholic” removed, but beyond that they have no power.  The use of “Religious liberty” is excuse.  No one is infringing on their right to worship.  No one is taking that right away from them.  Contraception is already included in health insurance as part of their plans.  No one forces you to use it.  Just as if your religious beliefs tell you abortion is wrong, no one forces you to have one.

George Carlin said the following:

Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren’t they? They’re all in favor of the unborn.  They will do anything for the unborn.  But once you’re born, you’re on your own.  Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus, from conception to nine months. After that, they don’t want to know about you. They don’t want to hear from you.  No nothing. No neo-natal care, no day care, no Head Start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you’re pre-born, you’re fine. If you’re pre-school, you’re f$$$ed.

I have noticed that Catholic leaders will froth at the mouth and agitate over hot topics like access to condoms and family planning, but their fervor fails greatly when it comes to the plight of the poor.  There has always been a total disconnect between the church’s concern for life at conception as opposed to life in process.  They ignore and remain silent on their sexual abuse cases.  What is that old line….”People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.”  The Church and the GOP are trying to turn the clock back.  One can only wonder what witches brew Republicans the church are drinking from if they think this is an issue that will win them any major support.

Every woman in the country will see it for what it is, a naked attempt by powerful men to once again gain control over them and their bodies.  Fighting the contraception issue makes the church look once again like it is targeting women.  Presidential candidates in line step with the Bishops.  Santorum came out firing against contraception of any kind.  He might be over compensating for the fact that his wife once lived for many ears with an abortion doctor.

They have all lost their sense of reality.  They long for the old days.  They have forgotten what century they line in.

There is but once solution:   GET THE FLOCK OUT!!!!!!!

Obama: Yes We Can’t

In 2008 Obama talked a good game.  “Yes we can.”  That was the call.  What we did not know of course, is/was; Yes we can become Republicans.

It is something that I have always wanted:  to be a member of the political elite, and re-engineer an entire country against the wishes of the people.

I want to be part of the party that says that we are doing the people’s will and work.  Knowing the entire time, that I am living in a dark tunnel and have no idea what the people really want.  But then, does it matter?  The people hired me so I can do the things I want, and praise the people for a job well done.  I am doing the work of God.  Remember, Republicans want to save God.  And, God tells me to help the rich and punish the middle class for being poor.

Goodness, this is a great country!!!!!!

Barack Obama Is Bad

We are being sold out.  Medicre and Social Security are on the table, thanks to Obama.  It is what he wants.  It is who he is. We can’t trust Obama.  The trust once evident in his base is disintergrating.  I understand that people aren’t surprised anymore that Obama is caving.  It can’t be caving if that is what Obama really believes.

We still should not surprised.  In 2009, clear signals emerged that President Obama was eager to achieve what George W. Bush could not: cut social security.  Before he was even inaugurated, Obama repeated the right’s manipulative rhetorical tactic: that, along with Medicare, the program  was in crisis and producing “red ink as far as the eye can see.”  President – elect Obama thus promised that these crown jewels of his party since the New Deal would be a “central part” of his efforts to reduce the deficit.  We did not listen and we did not pay attention.  We remained silent.

That wasn’t the case in 2005.  In 2005, Democrats, liberals acheved one  our important political victories of the last decade.  George Bush tried to privitize social security, and he was destroyed.  His plan would have gutted the essential part of the entitlement program by converting it from what it has been since the 1940’s – -a universal promise of minimally decent living conditions and health care for the elderly and poor – – into a Wall Street jackpot. Give to the rich so they can get richer.

Liberal and progressive bloggers relentlessly, continually attacked the plan and the reason , the lie that social security faced a crisis, creating nationwide opposition. A few months after he presented his plan to great applause, Bush was forced to humilitatingly take it back.  It was a huge defeat.

The political point had been made.  While there are very few unifying principles for the Democratic party, the primary one, is constant defense of basic entitilement programs for the poor and the enderly – social security, Medicare and Medicaid – from the rich, corporations that have for a long time targeted them for cuts.

We have no on to blame but ourselves now.  We ignored the signs, not wanting to believe that our party leader was a devoted and dedicated as he claimed to attacking the primary safety net for the elderly and poor.  But some saw the the truth.  The liberal blogger and economist Duncan “Atrios” Black, who led the fight against Bush’s plan promised in answer to these early reports:

The left….will create an epic 360 degree shitstorm if Obama and the Democrats decide that cutting social security benefits is a good idea.

Now, Obama not only wants , but is the driving force for deep and major cuts to social security and Medicare.

The same Obama who supported the transfer of $700bn to bail out Wall Street, gave in to and extended the Bush tax cuts for the rich, and who has hastened America’s bankruptcy  – posturing for of the Endless War, now wants to reduce the debt by cutting benefits for the most vulnerable, at the exact time that economic insecurity and income inequality are at their highest point. He has continued terrorism policies indefinite detention, renditions, secret prisons by proxy, and sweeping secrecy.

And we still by his bullshit.  In so many ways and areas, he has done the most to subvert and weaken the left’s political agenda than a GOP president could have ever dreamed of achieving.  So powerful and far-reaching are tribal loyalties in American politics that partisans will support, tolerate, any and all policies our party leaders endorse.  Even those policies we have hated for years.

Obama has given us unprecedented war on whistleblowers, taking the power to assassinate U.S. citizens without due process far from any battlefield.

Now he is spending all his time and his presidential power to cutting the entitlement programs that have defined the Democratic party since Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal.

He continue to say that he wants bipartisan agreement.  But once that happens, it taken out of the mainstream, the limelight, and removed from the partisan wars, and is  adopted by leadership of both parties.  This is why the mainstream press has not pursued this story and told us the truth.

But where is the “epic shitstorm” from the left?  Except few bloggers like me, there is nothing out there.  It is time for us to organize.  The liberal blog Firedoglake has a petition for Obama supporters promising to withhold re-election support if he follows through with this.

Now Obama is on the edge of injecting what was politically poison and unattainable dream of Wall Street and the American right – assault on the nation’s social safety net – into the heart and should of the Democratic party’s platform. Those liberals guided more by party loyalty than real belief will seamlessly transform from livid opponents of such cuts into their primary defenders.

The Left will lose it identity and power, and most importantly it primary policy and policy if Obama wins.

We are doing this to ourselves.  We must speak.  We must shout.  We must fight.

Chris Hayes on his blog entitled Decision Makers explains it better than I.

I have said it before in an earlier post:  Obama is a Republican!!!!!!

It all goes back to the “shellacking” Obama took in the 2010 elections. The President’s political advisers studied the numbers and concluded that the voters wanted the government to spend less. … [T]he political advisers believed that elections are decided by middle-of-the-road independent voters, and this group became the target for determining the policies of the next two years.

The Last Showdown Over Deficits: 1990 and George H. W. Bush

We have no idea what the details are in this so-called deal.  They’ve talked about a compromise deal that would produce $3trn in savings from spending cuts and just hazy promises of new revenue in the future.  Let’s tell the truth, the Republicans want no new revenue coming in at all.  That is their mission.

But if President Obama goes after something like this, he will need Republican votes to get it.  That reminds me of the last great showdown over deficits:  the 1990 budget deal, his “No new taxes!!” pledge and cut a sweeping deficit reduction deal with congressional Democrats.  That tormented Bush in different ways for the rest of his time in office.

That ’90 agreement was the products of six month of negotioations between Bush and a bipartisan group of congressional leaders.  Deficits were soaring and Democrats, who at that time controlled both houses of Congress, demanded that any plan include a significant revenue part.  Does that sound familiar?   Regardless of his campaign promise of no new taxes, Bush was more practical and willing to go along.  So were Bob Dole and Bob Michel, the practical conservatives who led the GOP in the House and Senate.

The spectacle came in two parts.  First, the plan was drawn up that relied on fees, excise taxes, cuts in social welfare programs, and new restrictions on tax deductions.  The plan was to cut the deficit by $500 billion over five years, with the idea that Bush would be able to say that he hadn’t raised income tax rates on anyone.  Also, to keep conservative Republicans in the House in line.  But, the Democrats got mad, they believed that this deal put too much on the middle-class and the poor. Then there was the shooting star, Hooting Newt who urged the conservatives on.  In October ’90 the deal when down in flames.

Then came the government shutdown.  Bush’s approval ratings dived.  Then he agreed to a plan that moved more the burden to the wealthy by raising the top marginal income tax rate from 28 to 31 percent.

The war was on.  Republicans marked Bush a sellout.  The bill passed and Bush signed it.

Bush had become a supply side theory believer, despite calling Ronald Reagan’s theory “voodoo economics.”  But Bush, with this ’90 budget proved that he was a pretender.  The first Gulf War made him a hero again.  Then the economy tanked.

“Read our lips!” was the cry.  He made a terrible mistake making the “Read my lips” promise.

Can Obama , if he goes after a deal that alienates his own party, will he face similar repercussions.  Namely, be a one-term president?

A lesson from Bush is that a president can get away with alienating his base if he is still popular.  If Obama take a hit with his base in the next few weeks, there won’t be much long-term damage if the economy returns to life.  This has been true for just about every challenge he has faced during his presidency.

Now, we are doing it all over again in many ways.  We had Hootin’ Newt and now he is gone.  What can the future hold Cryin’ Boehner?

This is Boehner’s test as to what Speaker of the House he would be.  He has been lacking and gutless.  He can cry, but he as yet does not know how to speak.

Republicans Promised Job Creation: Just Not In America

First, about the Norquist statement of yesterday.  It is all just bovine scatalogy.  He knows it isn’t a tax increase.  Still, Republicans heard the voice of their god yesterday and bowed down in abject stupidity.  It is simple, they will just expire.  If they simply do nothing, they will expire at the end of next year.  Obama caved once and let them be renewed, gutless wonder that he can be.  One can only wonder how much more he will give the Republicans.  That though is for another post.

When Republicans took control last year, they promised to creat jobs.  This was their primary platform.  To do this they also promised no new taxes, and to continue to cut taxes for corporations and the rich.  As said above, Obama caved, and let the teapublicans have their way and win that round. The Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 were renewed.

Their theory?  Giving huge amounts of money to big corporations and the wealthiest would enable them to invest in new businesses, expand existing ones and bring greater prosperity to the rest of us.  Has it worked?

Now, then years later, we should examine what has happened.

When the last round of these cuts were passed in 2003, the administration, that’s George W., predicted that, by the end of 2004, they would create 5.5 million jobs. Even George, admitted that, even without the tax cuts, the economy would most likely add 4.1 million jobs.

The result?  2.6 million jobs. In fact, the job creation record of George’s first term was among the worst since Hoover. The numbers are even worse than they appear since many jobs came from increased military spending on wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Housing and real estate were the most robust sectors of our economy.  They were not fueled by big tax cuts, but by a windfall of home equity loans and other easy money. We know how that worked out.

By the end of George’s second term, the lemmings went off the cliff, and when he left Washington, unemployment was flying high at 10 percent.

So where did the money go that was to be invested?  It went to places like hedge fund and derivatives.  Places that only make the rich investors so much richer.  It does nothing to create real value for our economy.

In 2003, more American money was invested overseas than was in the U.S. Those tax cuts did in fact create jobs — in China, Brazil, India, Germany and elsewhere, but not one here.  These tax cuts have cost us $2.8 trillion.Add the cost of the wars [$1.5 trillion] and we could clean up our current crisis.

During the past days, the Republicans have said “everything is on the table” in their so-called budget negotiation — everything that is but any tax increases on the wealthiest.

Still, we continue to hear the same song:  Tax cuts create jobs!!  But obviously, in the past 10 years, they haven’t.  Unless you are looking for work in China, India………?

Update:  Cantor said today, “We’ve done our job. We’ve sent jobs bills to the Senate.”

Update:  Senate kills Rep. Jim Jordan’s Cut, Cap and Balance bill.

The lunatics seem to be in charge of the asylum.

Ohio Diary #10: Racist, Do Nothing Ohio Congressional Lawmakers Play Key Role in Debt Talks

That was the headline in my local city newspaper.  Well, not exactly, it actually read “Ohio lawmakers play a key role in debt talks.” I thought it would be better to tell the truth about them, racist and do nothing.  And I forgot sexist, woman hating elephant dung.

My newspaper gave a brief description or synopsis of their role in the debt talks.  Like most newspapers, they didn’t let the truth get in the way of a good story.  Actually, it said nothing.  There was no real reporting.  No truth test, no questions; absolutely nothing.

So in the interest of the truth, in the interest of really exposing these three lawmakers[?], I will do it for them.

John Boehner was the first subject in the article.  The paper said:

Within the next week or so, Boehner must broker a deal with the White House that can pass the House.

Boehner is doing nothing.  He is a robot for the teapublicans.   The coward will not tell them the truth.  He simply doesn’t know how.  His theory is to keep them happy so he can remain the speaker.  If he would only speak.  On July 12, John Boehner claimed talks to raise the $14.3 trillion national debt ceiling hung on whether or not President Obama did his job.

This debt ceiling increase is his problem.

That is just what Boehner said.  Boehner’s statement is a lie.  It has no basis in fact or reality.  On that same day, Jay Powell, former U.S. Treasury undersecretary in the Bush [the father] Administration said:

In our system of government, Congress decides how much to spend and what to spend it on and orders the executive branch to do just that…The executive branch has no independent role to decide which of Congress’ laws to obey and which not.

So in fact, the President, this one, the next one, cannot raise the debt ceiling. That is exactly true, he can after default for the good of the Republic, use the Fourteenth Amendment and raise the debt ceiling, but only after default.  Congress must appropriate money that the President can then spend.   John Boehner has lost control of his party.  Boehner should come down from his cross and do what is best for America.  But he doesn’t want a deal anymore than any other Republican.

Steve Austria:  He happens to be my representative.  I say that sarcastically.  I have been on conference calls, attended constituent meetings, and if you are a Democrat, you basically are not allowed to speak.  You can’t ask questions.  You get ignored.  He like all his fellow dung carriers, wants no tax increases.  He said he was against the cap, cut and balance pledge.  Still, when the vote took place on Tuesday, he voted for it, just like the good baby elephant that he is. He has no original ideas, he has offered nothing.  You can’t say much about him, because there isn’t much to him.

Jim Jordan:  He is chairman of the Republican Study Committee, they are the group that wrote and insisted on severe cuts in all things.  His bill was the Cut, cap and balance, {HR 2506].  He, unlike many of his caucus members, does not predicts disaster  August 2 come and go without action. He predicts a glitch.  A glitch.  Then he said:

The real hurdles would come later when entitlements such as Medicare and Social Security crash.

He doesn’t want to raise taxes,.  He and his partners, will tell you tax cuts will magically grow America out of the debt crisis, create jobs and grown the economy.  He believes that more than his friends.  I want him to tell me why ten years of Bush tax rates have coincided with the miserable economy, worst since the Depression and the biggest rise in deficits in United States History?

All these years, he and the GOP have been telling us they are your only hope for a balanced budget. When Republicans in the White House 2001, they doubled the national debt, and turned Bill Clinton’s $155 billion surplus into a trillion-dollar deficit.  To hear them talk, it was the Democrats.

Republicans wast to keep Wall Street happy.  That needs no explanation.

They have supported and encouraged legislation against women’s rights, civil rights, the poor, children and the middle class. They feel that women are servants and have no place in public life.  In fact, they believe that women should have no life of their own.  Deprive them of their rights and they can do nothing without our consent.

They won’t make a deal on the debt issue, because they won’t give President Obama anything.  They won’t even talk.  Not to Obama and obviously not to each other.  If you’re not white you don’t belong in the White House.  They still insist he is an immigrant, an illegal immigrant.  Hence no immigration reform. Hence the attack on all “Muslims”, run by Rep. Peter King.

They don’t want to tell you the truth.  Maybe, they don’t know what the truth might be, or they just like being racist, sexist, lazy, do nothing rich white people’s representatives.

Ohio Diary #9: John Boehner Had A Choice: His Job or His Country

He couldn’t decided and did nothing.  Being the coward and gutless wonder that he is, what else would you expect.  John Boehner and House Republicans truly believe that controlling one chamber of the Congress should get them everything they want.  So what happens?  A member of the chamber of the Congress, the Senate, rescued John Boehner from having to put his speakership on the line.  It is stunning.  I never thought that I would ever sing the praises of Senator Mitch McConnell, but today I just can’t help myself.

Why?  McConnell had the good sense to finally tell the truth.  Something that Boehner is just incapable of doing.  His job and position is just so more important. McConnell gave Boehner a parachute, as MSNBC called it.  It provides an escape for the Speaker, since he can’t seem to decide or figure out which pledge to ask his members to break – the 1-to-1 ratio of deficit reduction to debt ceiling raise or not raising taxes.  The grand bargain that Republicans promised in 2010 is not quite DEAD. He just couldn’t stand up and court a rebellion against his leadership or push the country toward default on its debt.

Boehner remained conspicuously silent.  He looked in the mirror and saw Gingrich in 1995.  Two government shutdowns that he hoped would win huge  and deep spending cuts – and not tax increases from a Democratic President.  They were trying to do the same thing now.  Remember, the Republicans held the majority of both chamber of Congress.  They committed political suicide them and they are about to do it again.

There was a time, a very long time ago, when I might have felt bad for Crying John, if he and his grand old party had not shamelessly fueled the Tea Party and kissed their ring to win power.  The House Republican Tea Party is endangering Crying John.

The House Republican Tea Party talk about the people, how they care so much for them.  The truth is, the only time they really care about the people is when they look down to see who they are stepping on.   Republicans in the House have tied their future to the Tea Party.  They are about to hang themselves and call it murder.

Crying John  should have a good cry.  Or maybe he need a new light bulb, an energy-efficient light bulb. Oh wait.  Boehner is against light bulb tyranny.

John Boehner is not good at his job.  A leader with no one to lead.  He should be afraid.  I can hear “Happy Trails To You.”
