“The Menace of Violence”

This is the perfect example of how you can never speak too slowly while speaking. The pauses, inflection and timing is perfect. His confidence comes through so absolutely that you can’t help but to be inspired.  He lays out the evils of  violence not by repeating clichés, but by simply stating what is at stake.  He describes humanity in its purest form, and by doing so, he is able to clearly point out why each and every one of us should stand against the destruction of one an other.  I was inspired.  I became a democrat.

Now, when I hear the hatred from our politicians, see the violence against women, immigrants, gays and lesbians and the just about everyone, I think of this speech.
